My advice for finding a new job is simple: FOCUS
- Reflect on your career goals and make a list of companies you think would fit you.
- Keep a record of when and where you have interviewed and with whom you spoke.
- Write thank-you emails to those people.
- Keep your CV updated and tailor-made to the job description.
- Follow up on those interviews.
- Don’t be shy; Israelis like to see the enthusiasm.
- Also, consider temporary jobs; they can turn into permanent ones.
- Participate in lectures and courses related to your profession.
Most importantly, don’t be afraid to fail.

Update your LinkedIn
When revising your CV, also update your LinkedIn profile because recruiters always like to look at that.
Proofread your resume
Your resume makes a crucial first impression; don’t submit one with spelling or grammar mistakes.
Job networking
Create connections in Israel by joining networking groups on Facebook and LinkedIn. Tell as many people as possible that you’re looking for a job. Attending events related to your field is another way to network. Those you meet might help you by forwarding your CV to the relevant people.
Job consulting
What if you’re not sure that the position you’re are applying for is what you really want? Research the position and meet people already doing that kind of job to understand the work better.
